Low Cost Airlines vs. Flag Carriers

So, you have gone ahead and booked one of the perfect Rome apartments for your next break away, the big question now is how are you going to get there? A low cost airline or one of the main flag carriers?

More and more people tend to opt for the low cost airlines nowadays as they are convinced that they are going to save an absolute fortune. Let us start off this article by stating that 99.9 percent of the time, the fares you see advertised to get to your destination is not going to be anything like what you end up paying.

Low cost airlines are possibly some of the most disingenuous companies that exist on the face of this planet. They may well advertise a fare at a silly rate like a few pounds to get half way across Europe, but please do not be so gullible as to fall for such lies.

Once you go ahead and start the booking process, try to refrain from crying as the fees and charges continue to be thrown onto your overall cost. First you will be charged to take a simple suitcase. Then you may be charged to get on the flight a few minutes early; then insurance is automatically put on; then you may end up paying as much as £20 to use a debit card to pay for the booking. Yes, I actually said debit card! How disgusting is that?

Low cost airlines are trying to find more and more ways of ripping their customers off and this even extends to the fact that one particular company is thinking about charging £1 for a trip to their dingy and skanky toilets.

On the other hand, yes you may pay a little more at times, but the cost of a ticket with a flag carrier is a case of what you see is what you get. No duplicity, no lies and no using you as a licence to print money. You may even get a free meal and drink onboard and definitely as many free trips to the loo as you want. I know which type of company I favour.
